A tip I learned from UpholsteryCareUSA.com was never to over wet the upholstered furniture. Turn on fans or use a air mover while cleaning to prevent any chance of browning. Micro-fiber is the fastest drying fabric and is browning resistant. Cleaning leather furniture is much different process. Use don't use the extractor. First you wipe down with a clean damp towel all dust and whatever the customer was using to clean will be neutralized. You can use a mild detergent with a soft brush. Test an area in the back for colorfastness. If the leather doesnt have a bad reaction you can continue. Spray the leather furniture in a 12 inch by 12 inch sections. Lightly brush and wipe with a clean damp clothe. Repeat as necessary. For a great small business opportunity or carpet cleaning franchise please visit www.UpholsteryCleaningFranchise.com
I like cleaning upholstery furniture better than leather . With leather you don't know how the customer was maintaining it. Maybe with windex or pledge. Your cleaner can have a bad reaction if you dont nuetralize the leather first with a damp wet towel. Then test on small area on the back for colorfastness. Upholstery especially micr-fiber is much more cleaner freindly
